I'm sure you've heard this before, but when I came across it today, I thought it fit our family perfectly.
"Families are like fudge...
mostly sweet,
with lots of Nuts! "
"Families are like fudge...

Ok I found this too and I thought it was cute.
A bishop was walking down the street one day when he noticed a young primary boy in his ward trying to press the doorbell of a home on the street. The boy was very small and the doorbell was too high for him to reach it, so the Bishop decided to help him by pressing the doorbell. Crouching down to the child's level, the Bishop smiled benevolently and asked, "And now what, young brother?" To which the boy replied, "Now we run!"

we would need blind folds for our viewers
We could all put on our swimsuits and sing and dance to this song.

K, I can't stop laughing imagining all of us actually trying to dance like them.
I'm happy to be married, but this makes me want to be single again.

Will somebody try this out and tell me if it's good? It sounds good but kind of a lot of work just in case it doesn't taste good.
Watch your emails I've got a song I want you to learn.
Over Night Peach French Toast
1 cup brown sugar
1 stick butter or margarine
2 tbs. water
sliced peaches
French bread
5 eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
1 tbs. vanilla
Melt butter; add water and brown sugar. Boil till mixture foams. Pour into a 9x13 pan and cool 10 minutes Line the pan with the sliced peaches, covering all the caramel mixture. Slice bread 1 to 1 1/2 inches thick. Place on top of peaches. Mix eggs, milk and vanilla. Pour over bread completely covering it. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate over night. Bake at 350 for 45-60 minutes or until golden brown.

On days like today (which really isn't that bad. Just cloudy and drizzly)
a little bit of color makes me happy.

Multi-Purpose Red Sauce
1 package ground turkey
1-2 cups shredded carrots
1 cup onion, chopped
brown first three ingredients
add spices (the spices will soak into the meat, then add the tomatoes)
1 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1 tsp. oregano
3 tsp. chili powder
4Tbsp. brown sugar
3 jars (big cans) stewed tomatoes
1 or 2 6oz. tomato paste (depends on how thick you want it)
Simmer on low for 30 minutes
This will make a lot. Maybe 6-9 cups. I usually put 3 cups in each Ziploc gallon bag and put it in the freezer.
Lasagna:
cooked noodles
fresh spinach/sliced fresh mushrooms
noodles
ricotta cheese mixed with an egg and Parmesan cheese. salt maybe.
noodles
3 cups red sauce
mozzarella
350 for 30 minutes or more

Here's my lame menu.
I made lasagna last night, which means lasagna for lunch today.
Tonight: Hamburgers and homemade french fries (Using our VERY cool bosch cutter/slicer/shredder thingy.)
Also going to try to make apple crisp in the crock pot.
Thursday: Creamy Chicken and rice.
Friday: Baked potatoes (Once we realize that doesn't cut it, Little ceasars pizza.)
Saturday: BBQ pulled pork sandwiches
Sunday:Leftovers
NOTICED While typing. Where's the vegetables?? Yeah thats right, there is NONE! Unless you count potatoes as a vegetable.
Hence why it is my LAME menu.
HELP!!
Better yet, someone just come cook for me.
Can you also clean the kitchen while you're at it?

okay. Orange jell-o parfait from the store....YUCK!! Talia and Toria said it was gross and threw it away. It was gross. It tasted like Sunkist soda and gelatin.
Hi Sisters! Jacqui - was it you I talked to about posting meals?
Well. Just got back from the grocery store. Bags are still on the table. I had to come up with a plan because we had apple crisp for dinner last night.
Tonight - pulled bbq pork sandwiches & store bought orange jell-o parfait. yummy!
The rest of these are in no order. If you could put them in order for me that would great.
pulled pork burritos
spinach & mushroom lasagna
vegetable soup over rice (a guy at church gave it to us. My guess is he's from Korea.) I had "stuff over rice" dishes all the time on my mission. It makes me a little nervous because I gained 30lbs. from all that yummy "stuff over rice" japanese food. Seriously. They have these cake shops all over the place. So good. Don't even start me on the 7-elevens over there. oh. and the bread shops. Buy me an airplane ticket. Mama's goin' home.
stuffed pizza & salad
turkey bugers

Old Windows New Ideas
So here is a picture of one of the six pane windows dad brought back from Virginia. Of course, I love 'em. BUT I feel like the most uncreative person when I have to come up with a new way of doing something. I would rather just copy what someone else has done. SOOOO, Any ideas?
